Steve Heller hunts down a Nazi graphics standards manual : Observatory: Design Observer

Steve Heller hunts down a Nazi graphics standards manual : Observatory: Design Observer.

I am not in any way looking to the Nazi Propaganda machine for inspiration or guidance. But, it does go without saying that the Nazi Political Propaganda machine was very extremely efficient and I am curious to see whether there are comparisons with this ‘brand guide’ and those that exist today. I’m amazed at the level of detail and attention applied in both the book and the philosophy of this despicable party. I have read elsewhere that both the Fascist and the Communists were instrumental in developing modern day brand theory and it’s techniques. By that I mean the control of image, message, tone of voice, format, colour . . . . the whole package.

As much as I abhor the actions of this mass murdering machine, I can’t help but be quite impressed by its own brand management.
